Femi Olutoye Foundation

Transforming lives, building healthier communities

The Femi Olutoye Foundation (FOF) is a nonprofit organization advancing health and gender equity in underserved communities across Nigeria. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and 5 (Gender Equality), we deliver strategic, community-based health programs.

Making an Impact Since 2024

Every act of kindness counts. Help someone get the care and dignity they deserve.

Our vision

Creating a Healthier, More Equitable Nigeria for All

At FOF, we envision a Nigeria where access to quality healthcare and gender equality are not privileges, but rights. We see a future where women and girls thrive, communities grow stronger, and every individual can reach their full potential in a society founded on dignity, opportunity, and health for all.

Our Mission

Bridging the Gaps That Hold People Back

Our mission is to close the health and gender equality gaps across Nigeria by:

  • Delivering tailored health programs focused on maternal, child, and reproductive care
  • Promoting gender-sensitive policies and shifting harmful social norms
  • Building skills, confidence, and leadership among women and girls
  • Partnering with stakeholders to scale impact and mobilize resources

We are committed to creating lasting change by making equity, access, and empowerment become the foundation of sustainable development.

Rooted in Service

The Heart Behind The Mission

My journey is one of service, sacrifice, and an unshakable belief in the power of community.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, while pursuing my PhD at Southern Medical University in China, I felt increasingly unsettled, confined to a classroom while thousands suffered beyond the walls. I realized I could no longer remain a bystander.

I made the difficult decision to pause my academic path and dedicate myself fully to serving others.

I led volunteer wellness initiatives, supported hospital outreach programs, and provided aid to stranded travelers and international students. These acts of care, though modest,  became the foundation for my life’s mission.

Motivated by this calling, I pursued nursing registration in New Zealand, a nation known for its equitable healthcare system and progressive stance on nursing legislation. In 2021, I launched my international journey in care, gaining firsthand experience in a health system centered on equity and compassion.

Still, my heart remained tied to home.

Through these global experiences, my drive to serve communities in Nigeria only grew stronger. That passion gave birth to the Femi Olutoye Foundation, where I continue to lead health and empowerment programs across underserved communities in my home country.

In 2025, I was humbled to receive the King Charles III Coronation Medal for Community Service, awarded by the Canadian Nurses Association

This is my story.

This is our mission.

Together, we change lives. Together, we build hope.
