Transforming lives, building healthier communities
The Femi Olutoye Foundation (FOF) is a nonprofit organization advancing health and gender equity in underserved communities across Nigeria. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and 5 (Gender Equality), we deliver strategic, community-based health programs.
Every act of kindness counts. Help someone get the care and dignity they deserve.
Our vision
Creating a Healthier, More Equitable Nigeria for All
At FOF, we envision a Nigeria where access to quality healthcare and gender equality are not privileges, but rights. We see a future where women and girls thrive, communities grow stronger, and every individual can reach their full potential in a society founded on dignity, opportunity, and health for all.
Our Mission
Bridging the Gaps That Hold People Back
Our mission is to close the health and gender equality gaps across Nigeria by:
- Delivering tailored health programs focused on maternal, child, and reproductive care
- Promoting gender-sensitive policies and shifting harmful social norms
- Building skills, confidence, and leadership among women and girls
- Partnering with stakeholders to scale impact and mobilize resources
We are committed to creating lasting change by making equity, access, and empowerment become the foundation of sustainable development.

Rooted in Service
The Heart Behind The Mission
My journey is one of service, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to community health.
In late 2019, as the first wave of COVID-19 began to emerge, I was immersed in PhD research in China but felt increasingly unsettled. Confined to a classroom while billions around the world struggled with the uncertainties of lockdowns and economic turmoil, I knew I could no longer remain a bystander.
In 2020, I made the difficult decision to pause and give back to my communities during a critical moment of global crisis. I led volunteer wellness initiatives, supported hospital outreach programs, and provided aid to stranded travelers and international students. These simple acts of care became the foundation of my life’s mission.
In 2021, motivated by this calling, I pursued nursing registration in New Zealand, a country recognized for its equitable healthcare system and progressive approach to nursing. That year, I launched my global journey in healthcare, gaining firsthand experience in systems and policies grounded in equity and compassion.
By 2024, my heart grew ever stronger for people in resource-limited areas. Through these global experiences, my drive to support vulnerable communities back in Nigeria gave birth to the Femi Olutoye Foundation, where I continue to lead health and empowerment programs across marginalized regions in my home country.
In 2025, I was humbled to receive the King Charles III Coronation Medal, awarded by the Government of Canada in recognition of my impact in community service.
This is my story.
This is our mission.
Together, we change lives. Together, we build hope.
