Femi Olutoye Foundation

Founder’s One-Year Anniversary Message: Equity in Motion

This month marks one year since the Femi Olutoye Foundation, also known as FOF, was formally established as a nonprofit organization. What a transformative journey it has been.

Founded in August 2024, the vision for FOF was born from my lived experiences as a global nurse.

Guangdong Media Recognition: The Moment That Inspired a Mission

In 2020, Femi Olutoye was featured by Newsgd.com, the official English-language news agency of Guangdong Province, for his outstanding volunteer service during the COVID-19 outbreak in China. At the time, he was a PhD nursing student at Southern Medical University, supporting international patients at Guangzhou’s Eighth People’s Hospital by helping bridge cultural and language barriers in care.

Nourishing Hope: My Experience Coordinating the Obaagun Food Distribution Outreach

On December 20, 2024, I had the privilege of coordinating a food distribution outreach organized by the Femi Olutoye Foundation in the Obaagun community. As the Coordinator for Food and Shelter, this outreach was not just another activity on our calendar. It was a mission deeply personal to me. It was about connecting with people, listening to their stories, and making an impact that would linger long after we had left.

My Volunteering Experience with Femi Olutoye Foundation

I find myself reflecting on one of the most fulfilling parts of the year: volunteering. In 2024, I said yes to showing up, giving back, and being part of something bigger than myself. One of the most memorable experiences for me was participating in a food distribution outreach organized by the Femi Olutoye Foundation in the Obaagun community.

My Experience Volunteering for World Menstrual Hygiene Day

Volunteering for the World Menstrual Hygiene Day outreach at the Femi Olutoye Foundation (FOF) was an enriching experience and marked my first involvement in volunteer service. I am truly grateful that I had the opportunity to participate.
